About Us

The Kiwanis Mission

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

We will be a positive influence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them, and provide the support they need to thrive.

Corridor Kiwanis meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7 am at the Coralville United Methodist Church, 806 13th Ave, Coralville, IA. Guests are always welcome.

What We Do

Kiwanis clubs and members conduct service projects. They hold fundraisers. They donate to the Kiwanis Children’s Fund. They change children’s lives in their own communities and through international initiatives — helping young people develop mentally, physically and emotionally.

Every year, Kiwanis members stage more than 1.3 million service projects and raise nearly US$390 million for children, families and communities around the world. Kiwanis club projects are based on the community’s needs — we build playgrounds, purchase medical equipment, stuff backpacks with school supplies, restock libraries and much more. The average Kiwanian makes an impact on the lives of 106 children.

Kiwanis members’ activities support the Kiwanis causes:

● Health and nutrition.
● Education and literacy.
● Youth leadership development.

Together, these causes form a continuum of impact — helping young people develop throughout childhood and into adulthood. Each cause also supports the others, ultimately creating a generation of leaders who also contribute to that continuum.
